Before unpacking, let’s talk about your Brother printer. This printer is specially designed to print at a speed of up to 36ppm (pages per minute). Scanning and copying cannot be this convenient, thanks to the flatbed scan glass. The printer includes a paper tray with a 250-sheet paper capacity, improving efficiency and time management. - Peel off the tapes to open the printer package.
- Take out the quick start guide, user guide, reference guide, cable, and drum unit from the printer package.
- Carefully get your printer out of the package.
- Remove the foam protection and plastic cover from the printer.
- Clear the packing tapes from the printer’s exterior.
- Open the scanner glass and remove the protective cover.
- Open the cartridge access door and peel off the tape.
- Make sure there are no tapes and other packing materials left inside the printer.
- Close the cartridge access door.
- Pull out the paper tray.
- Remove any packing materials.
- Close the paper tray.
- Unwrap the drum unit.
- Remove the orange plastic material from the drum unit.
- Insert the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly securely into the printer.
After inserting the drum unit, load paper into the input tray.
Load Paper Correctly In Input Tray
- Pull the paper tray out.
- Press the green release lever to unlock the paper guides. Hold it down and slide it away from the center.
- Fan the paper stack before loading.
- Place the paper and adjust the guide to the paper size.
- Close the paper tray.
